Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Gardeners to maintain and enhance the grounds of private estates, residential properties, and commercial sites across the UK. This role involves caring for plants, lawns, and outdoor spaces to ensure they remain healthy, attractive, and well-managed throughout the seasons.

As a Gardener, you will carry out routine gardening tasks, landscape maintenance, and seasonal planting programs, contributing to the beauty and upkeep of the property.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and trees through mowing, pruning, planting, and watering.

Carry out seasonal planting and landscaping projects to improve garden aesthetics.

Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely and according to regulations.

Operate and maintain gardening tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers, and hedge cutters.

Manage irrigation systems and ensure efficient water use.

Remove weeds, pests, and diseased plants to promote healthy growth.

Maintain garden pathways, patios, and outdoor features.

Monitor soil health and suggest improvements or treatments.

Collaborate with the House Manager or property owner on garden design and maintenance plans.

Keep accurate records of gardening activities and supplies used.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and environmental regulations.


Requirements

Proven experience as a professional Gardener, Groundskeeper, or similar role.

Knowledge of horticulture, plant care, pest control, and landscape maintenance.

Ability to use gardening tools and machinery safely and effectively.

Physical fitness and stamina to perform outdoor manual labor in various weather conditions.

Good understanding of seasonal gardening tasks and plant varieties suitable for the UK climate.

Basic knowledge of irrigation and water management systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

Willingness to undergo training for pesticide and chemical handling if required.

Eligibility for UK visa sponsorship and willingness to relocate.

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check clearance or willingness to undergo check.
