We are looking for reliable and efficient Material Handlers to manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials in warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. The role is crucial for ensuring smooth supply chain and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments
Sort, label, and store materials accurately in designated locations
Pick and prepare orders for dispatch
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts (where certified)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or storage area
Perform inventory checks and update records
Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents
Education & Experience:
No formal qualifications required; vocational training or certifications (e.g., forklift license) are a plus
Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling preferred
Skills:
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
Basic numeracy and literacy skills for record-keeping
Ability to operate warehouse machinery (forklift certification preferred)
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to health and safety standards
Other Requirements:
English language proficiency sufficient for workplace communication
Valid passport and eligibility for UK Skilled Worker visa (if sponsorship needed)
Clean background check and compliance with company policies
Salary range: £18,000 – £24,000 per year depending on location and experience
