We are looking for qualified and experienced Safety Officers to oversee and implement workplace health and safety programs across construction, manufacturing, engineering, and other industries. The Safety Officer will ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and promote a culture of safety among employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct risk assessments and safety audits on work sites
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Monitor workplace practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations (e.g., HSE standards)
Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports
Deliver safety training and awareness sessions to employees
Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure statutory reporting requirements are met
Recommend improvements to reduce hazards and risks
Maintain safety records and documentation
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
NEBOSH National/International General Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a Safety Officer or similar role
Skills:
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and practices
Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills for training and reporting
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Competent in safety management systems and incident investigation
Proficient in MS Office and safety software tools
Other Requirements:
English proficiency sufficient to communicate safety policies and procedures
Eligibility for UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship
Clean background check and good standing in professional conduct
