We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Technician to join our technology support team. The IT Technician will provide technical assistance, maintain hardware/software systems, and ensure smooth IT operations across our organization. Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-line technical support to internal staff (onsite or remote)
Install, configure, and maintain hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
Set up and maintain software, operating systems, and user accounts
Troubleshoot technical issues (hardware, software, network)
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers and cloud services (if applicable)
Maintain inventory of IT assets
Collaborate with IT teams to support cybersecurity, backups, and patching
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
(Alternatively, equivalent experience + certifications accepted)
2+ years of professional experience as an IT Technician, Desktop Support, or Helpdesk role
Skills:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS environments
Basic knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Understanding of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
CompTIA A+ / Network+
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
ITIL Foundation
Other Requirements:
English language proficiency (IELTS minimum 4.0 in each band or equivalent – as per Skilled Worker visa requirement)
Valid passport and eligibility for UK Skilled Worker Visa
Clean background check
Salary range: £25,600 – £35,000+ per year depending on experience and location
(meets Skilled Worker salary threshold)
